Student Teaching
Well, I'm coming to the end of my student teaching experience. It's been a long journey but a learning one. I was originally set to complete my student teaching by the end of December 2009. Swine flu and the plethora of other illnesses I came down with, caused me to defer a block and prolong my experience. I am happy to say I have been completely healthy my final lap, except for a few sniffles that lasted only a week and a corneal ulcer (completed unrelated to the germs of 1st graders). My TWS (Teacher Work Sample) has caused me some stress but will be completed and turned in March 1st. Thank goodness. I've learned a lot about myself as a teacher and as an individual. Contradictory to my original thoughts on teaching, I prefer the upper grades. The younger grades were much more stressful for me- but taught me a lot nonetheless. We will see where life takes me from here. I officially graduate from BYU April 23, 2010 as a certified Elementary School Teacher.
